I recently had a frustrating issue with my Taycan's HomeLink system. I couldn't get past the initial pairing step, no matter how many times I tried. After taking it to the dealership, they discovered a defective HomeLink module.

If you're having trouble connecting your garage door opener to your Taycan, I recommend having your HomeLink module checked. It might be the culprit behind your pairing issues.

I had issues with my HomeLink pairing as well, but in my case, the dealership blamed it on interference from nearby devices. They managed to fix it after trying a different approach, but if the problem comes back, I’ll push them to inspect the module.

Good to know. Thanks for sharing this with us.

I know how annoying it is when your garage door won't work. First, check the batteries in your remote. Then, make sure nothing's blocking the sensors. Finally, check if the power is out.

Before my module replacement, I tried reprogramming by resetting HomeLink completely through the PCM settings, but no luck either. It really seems like a batch issue with the modules. If you're waiting for a replacement, a universal garage remote might be a decent temporary fix.

Sounds like your Taycan’s HomeLink was on a “no entry” mode!😅 Glad you got it sorted, though. If anyone else is struggling, definitely check the HomeLink module, sometimes even fancy cars need a little tech TLC.💕

If you're unable to pair your garage door opener, it's advisable to have the HomeLink module inspected, as a defective module could be the cause. Additionally, ensure that your garage door opener's batteries are fresh, as weak batteries can hinder the pairing process.

Thanks for the tip! I’ve had some trouble with mine too, so I’ll definitely have the HomeLink module checked if it keeps acting up. Sounds like it could save a lot of hassle! Appreciate you sharing it
