I'm hearing a weird noise when I slow my 2021 Taycan down. It makes this grinding sound right before it stops. It's like my old Accord when the brakes were rusty, but this is all the time.

Has anyone else had this problem? Is this normal for the Taycan? I don't wanna take it to the dealer if I don't have to.

Check out the brake booster and if it has an internal defect.

If you don't know how to, I suggest brining it to your dealer and mention to look at that. All software updates are done while in the shop so everything will get checked and done.

There's actually a software update for the PSM. It might improve that brake feel (which they call WPK0).

My wife had the same problem and she took it to the dealer. They figured out it was a brake booster and now it's fixed!

I just got my car back from the shop. Turns out it was the brake booster that was messed up. Took them a while to get the part from Porsche, but they finally fixed it.

While it was in the shop, they did all those software updates and took care of those recalls too. The biggest one was fixing the passenger seat heater – that thing was messed up.
